My name is Behavior Bryant, my grandfather named me, he said that God told him to name me Behavior. My grandfather was a Pastor, he was saved, sanctified, baptized & filled with the Holy-Ghost, and his church was a holiness church, he certainly lived the life that he preached, and was steadfast and unmovable. He was a farmer, had a huge farm, lots of land, cows, pigs, & chickens, he was very well off, and highly respected in the community and surrounding town where he resided. Anyway, I hated my name growing up, so I stopped using it, I used my nickname instead. When I was 30 years old, one morning while on the altar praying at my  spiritual birth church "Community Life COGIC" , what my grandfather had told me in regard to my name was confirmed to me by God, He told me to go back to using my birth name, that it meant attitude, and that He had given me a new attitude, so I did exactly what He told me to do, and God performed a tremendous miracle in my life, that our entire congregation witnessed and knew that it was a miracle, because every part of the situation made no sense and seemed impossible and was for man, but I did everything exactly as I was instructed by God, certainly walking by and not by sight, and God blessed me and my son, this is why I know for myself that He is still performing miracles today, and that that obedience is better than sacrifice.  My biological parents, Ozie & Odessa Wade both passed when I was a little girl. After my parents passed, I was taken to live with some family members, a little over three years with one set, and almost a year with another set.  A little before I turned 15, I left where I was living and have been on my own ever since, I got married at 16, and we had one son, who is my only child. My biological siblings are also deceased, I am the youngest; I didn't grow up with them though, by the time I was born they were grown and gone. My brother Willie was twenty-two years older than me, he was killed in a gas explosion at his neighbor's house in Fort Wayne Ind. in the late 60's; he and his wife had six children, when he passed and my sister Delois was twenty years older, she passed in 2009 in Rockford, Illinois had a daughter, two grandchildren, and four grandchildren at the time of her passing. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois, but I have resided in three other states thus far in my life, and hopefully if it's the Lord, I will have an opportunity to move to a warmer climate where other family members of mine reside.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    I was raised going to church, because all my family members were church goers, and I loved going to church from a little girl, I always went to Sunday school and always loved singing in the choir. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and got baptized when I was nine years old.  Even growing up from a child I was always different, I never really fit in with any particular circle, I always felt out of place, but I just sort of rolled along, and even as a teenager and a young adult, I still felt like a fish out of water,  I didn't understand it then, but in October of 1986, God revealed it to me, and I have never been the same from that day to this one.  God brought me here to this area where I didn't know anyone except my husband, his mother and two of his sisters that I had only seen once prior to us moving here, and placed me in Community Life, under the leadership of my spiritual birth pastor Dr. Bishop Clifford Jr. He told me that He put me there for the teaching and the training, and I am so grateful that He did.   That is when He began to prepare me for the work that I was placed on this earth to do, and my work isn't completed yet.  I served in many ministries in COGIC over the years, wore many hats at one time, and loved every moment of it.  I was on the usher board, sung in the choir, taught Sunday school, bible study, the secretary for the singles ministry, hospitality president, president of the Pastor & First-Lady's anniversary committee, and the only young lady that was with all the seasoned women every Saturday morning for 9am prayer, then we would straighten up the church, and go out and minister, we would go to the nursing homes, hospitals, visiting the sick and shut in, we would also go to individuals homes and have prayer with them, and go downtown and pass out tracks and minister to people on the street. We always had two services on Sunday, and some Sundays when we had special programs, we had three, and every Friday night we had a regular service.   Then I asked to take over the 6:00 weekday morning prayer by my dear brother the Late Minister Bernard Prince, he had recently started before he started having medical issues.  So, I unlocked the doors of the church every morning for prayer, several would come in and we would pray some for an hour and some for half an hour and then go to work.  From that God blessed me to start my own ministry, I presented my desire to my pastor, and he told me yes, I could do it there at the church, so I begin my outreach ministry, started out with clothing ministry, God opened so many doors for me, and connected me to several community agencies and church's, stores, and people all over Stark county. Then I started my soup kitchen, I took food out to several places and neighborhoods to help the homeless and others in need, as well as started helping to place some individuals into hotels temporarily and helping get household items and furniture for several that were moving into an apartment and didn't have anything.  All the while ministering and witnessing to them at the same time, showing them love, so many got saved, and many started coming to church, and joined the church, and began to work in the Lord's house and serve God. I was there for many years, until God began to send me out to serve, minister, pray, and be an armorbearer in other congregations.  I will never forget that Sunday afternoon when I preached my first sermon, nor will I forget when God woke me up out of my sleep and gave it to me, and I didn't even know that it was a sermon or that I would be bringing it in just a few days. I am so glad that my dear sister Melinda Jones, who is no longer here with us, turned my tape recorder on after Pastor Kimbrough called me up, because I have it on cassette, to God be the glory.
